Registering your SUSD Student Athlete
Registering your SUSD student athlete is much easier with Register My Athlete. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to your school Athletic Department.

SUSD High School “Register My Athlete” Instructions for Parents/Athletes
SUSD utilizes an online registration tool for athletics called Register My Athlete! The platform is best if used in Chrome as your web browser.
- Go to registermyathlete.com and click “Login” in the top right-hand corner, or find the Register My Athlete link on your school’s website.
- Create an account: Click on the “Create Account” button. After filling in the required information, the system will automatically log you in, and you will be required to accept the terms of use.
- Register for a sport: Click on “Register for a Sport.” This will lead to the Registration Checklist.
You will now be on the Registration Checklist and must click on and complete the following:
- Select School: Search for your school and select it when identified.
- Select Athlete: You will be prompted to add a new athlete and fill out the requested information. This step only needs to be completed once during your athlete’s entire career in SUSD. The information entered will carry over from year to year but must be updated by the user when changes occur.
- Select Year/Sport: You will be asked to choose which year and which sport your athlete is registering to try out for or participate in.
- Guardianship Info: Please fill out guardianship information.
- Insurance: Insurance is required to participate in athletics in SUSD. If you need to obtain insurance, your site administration office has insurance options available for athletic participation purposes.
- Medical Info: Please fill out the appropriate medical information.
- Additional Opportunities: Available but not associated with the Scottsdale Unified School District, if you choose.
- School Requirements: Fill out transfer, visa, and previous school information. This will then lead you to:
- Electronic Documents: This is where you and your athlete electronically sign important SUSD documents such as the Athletic Code of Conduct, Communication Protocol, etc. You do not need to create an electronic signature. Simply read each document and check the “I agree” box when finished.
- E-Signature: Type in your name and your athlete’s name, then check the consent boxes. Select “E-Sign.”
- Physical: A doctor must complete a physical annually after March 1 of the year the school year starts. The physical is valid for the entire school year. AIA physical exam forms are available within Register My Athlete and MUST be uploaded to Register My Athlete once per year.
- Brainbook: Concussion education, known as “Brainbook,” MUST be completed. The link to Brainbook is available in Register My Athlete. This only needs to be completed once during an athlete’s career and will carry over from year to year. The Brainbook certificate MUST be uploaded directly to Register My Athlete one time only.
- Opioid Education: This only needs to be completed once during an athlete’s career and will carry over from year to year. The certificate of completion MUST be uploaded directly to Register My Athlete one time only during an athlete’s career.
- Confirmation: Your registration is complete. Your documents will be reviewed by the site athletic office, and once approved, you will receive an email stating “Ready for Tryouts.”
- Fee Payment: After your athlete has made the team, you can log back into Register My Athlete and pay the athletic fee at touchbase.susd.org. If you pay online, you MUST take or email the receipt to your school’s Bookstore, or you may bring a check directly to the Bookstore for processing. Once the Bookstore has confirmed payment, the registration status will be marked “Complete” and your athlete will be cleared for competition. Those who qualify for free or reduced lunch must pay reduced athletic fees in the Bookstore and provide the student’s Nutritional Services verification.
Additional Athletes: If you have additional athletes to register, you can add them under the same account.
Returning Users: During future seasons and years, you may use the same login. Please remember that if any information changes throughout your athlete’s athletic career, update it as needed.
SUSD Middle School “Register My Athlete” Instructions for Parents/Athletes

Here are the basic steps to follow when registering your athlete for the first time:
- Go to registermyathlete.com and click “Login” in the top right-hand corner, or find the Register My Athlete link on your school’s website.
- Create an account: Click on the “Create Account” button. After filling in the required information, the system will automatically log you in, and you will be required to accept the terms of use.
- Register for a sport: Click on “Register for a Sport.” This will lead to the Registration Checklist.

- Physical: A doctor must complete a physical annually after March 1 of the year the school year starts. The physical is valid for the entire school year. Once the school has confirmed payment, the registration status will be marked “Complete” and your athlete will be cleared for competition.
- For Tier 1 sports, all athletes make the team and the fee is $75.
- For Tier 2 sports, please wait until after the Festival. If your athlete makes the team, the fee is $40.
- For Cross Country and Track, all athletes make the team and the fee is $90.
- Free or reduced lunch fees must be paid in the Administration Building and accompanied by Nutritional Services verification.
Additional Athletes: If you have additional athletes to register, you can add them under the same account.
