Our School
About our School
At Cocopah Middle School, we take pride in fostering a neighborhood feel within our close-knit community.
Our commitment to excellence is evident in our competitive academics, vibrant arts programs, inclusive athletics, and a strong sense of community involvement.
Cocopah Middle School is home to a diverse range of academic programs, catering to all students. From our Robotics club to our robust STEM classes and a wide array of electives including "Design My Future,” we empower students to engage in career exploration and envision their post-secondary success. Students have the opportunity to earn high school credit in Spanish, French, Algebra I, and Geometry, providing a solid foundation for their educational journey.
Our arts programs encompass drama, choir, strings, art, band, and theater. From impressive set designs to captivating performances, students are showcasing their talents and creativity both on and off the stage. Signature events, including school musicals and community performances like the annual Scottsdazzle, highlight the rich artistic tapestry at Cocopah.
Cocopah Middle School boasts highly competitive athletic programs that are inclusive of all students. From district championships to middle school sports competitions, our students excel in various sports. The eighth-grade field trip to Washington, DC, and Disneyland is a tradition supported by our community through Tax Credit contributions.
Cocopah is a No Place for Hate School, promoting an inclusive environment where all students are welcomed with dignity and respect. Monthly community initiatives, such as food drives and kindness competitions, foster a sense of community and social responsibility among our students.
LEADing the Way: Cocopah is a PBIS school with a focus on Leadership, Empathy, Attitude, and Determination (LEAD). Students who embody these values earn LEAD tickets, recognizing both their contributions and the teachers who acknowledge them.
Cocopah Middle School has a rich history, with some teachers being proud alumni. This sense of continuity creates a unique and special bond within our school community. Cocopah meets the needs of all learners, from honors and gifted programs to special education initiatives like SHINE, LRC life skills, and ALC.
